How does Cristiano Ronaldo feel about his time in Saudi Arabia?

In an interview, football sensation Cristiano Ronaldo shared how he feels about his time in Saudi Arabia. Ronaldo shared that despite his initial nervousness, he is enjoying his time in Saudi Arabia and hopes that other top players will join him in the league next season.

Ronaldo signed for Al Nasr late last year in a deal worth over €200 million. The 38-year-old penned a contract that will take him until June 2025.

He scored 14 goals in 16 games but it could not help his side claim the Saudi Pro League (SPL) title, finishing second behind Al Nasr Al Ittihad.

“We have a very good team, very good Arab players, but the infrastructure – they need to improve a bit more. Even the referee, the VAR system, should be a bit faster,” Ronaldo said in an SPL interview.

“But I’m happy here, I want to continue here, I will continue here.” Ronaldo also talked about the difference in training routines in Saudi Arabia compared to Europe.

“In Europe, we train more in the morning, but here we train in the afternoon or at night. When you start Ramadan, we train at 10:00. It was very strange,” he added.

Since Ronaldo’s arrival, several other top players have received offers from Saudi Arabia, including Lionel Messi and Karim Benzema.

“If they are coming, big players and big names, young players, ‘old players’, they are very welcome,” said Ronaldo. “That would improve the league a bit. Age doesn’t matter.”
