Electric taxi service to be launched in Karachi

KARACHI: The Sindh government Wednesday announced launching an electric taxi service in Karachi, According to Sindh Transport Minister Sharjeel Memon, the taxi service will be started in the new financial year.

He said that the youth would get employment with the start of the electric taxi service in Karachi. He added that 150 taxis would be launched in the first phase.

There will be separate pink taxis for women, and the drivers of these pink taxis will also be women. Red colour was suggested for the taxis of men.
