IHC seeks ‘new methods’ to tackle protests in Islamabad

1 min read

Nov 22(ABC): The Islamabad High Court (IHC) wrapped up PTI’s petition seeking a non-objection certificate (NOC) for its long march in the federal capital and also the plea of traders.

“Putting up containers is not the solution. The administration should employ new methods [to tackle protests],” IHC Chief Justice Aamer Farooq said.

No one can challenge the state, he said, noting that if something happens in Rawalpindi — where PTI is expected to touchdown on November 26 — then it would cause trouble to the people coming to Islamabad.
