LAHORE, Oct 31(ABC): The Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2023 Player Draft will be held, with the defending champion Lahore Qalandars having the first pick as representatives from the six teams took part in a random drawing on Monday at the Pakistan Cricket Board offices to decide the pick order.
The second and third picks will go to the champions of the 2019 edition, the Quetta Gladiators, and the 2021 championship, the Multan Sultans. Karachi Kings, the 2020 champions, and Islamabad United, the reigning champions in 2016 and 2018, will make the fourth and fifth selections, respectively.
The sixth pick will be made by Peshawar Zalmi, who triumphed in the inaugural HBL PSL final, which was held in Pakistan in 2017.
A special statistical tool was used to decide the results of the next 17 rounds.
