The 14th UAE Ambassador Cup Ramadan Football Tournament concluded with Gerry’s defeating the Qatar Embassy in the final to claim the title.
The colorful event, organized by the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Pakistan, featured participation from ten teams. The Pakistan Football Federation provided full technical support for the tournament.
In the final, Gerry’s Pakistan secured a 5-2 victory over the Qatar Embassy team, with Khayam Khattak scoring a hat-trick and Saqib Anwar adding one goal. Afghanistan secured third place after defeating the Ministry of Foreign Affairs team 4-1.
The chief guest at the closing ceremony was Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, who distributed prizes along with UAE Ambassador Salem Mohammed Salem Al Bawab Al Zaabi and Pakistan Football Federation President Syed Mohsin Gilani.
The ceremony was attended by Member National Assembly Syeda Amina Batool, ambassadors from Morocco, Lebanon, Afghanistan, Libya and Romania, senior Pakistani officials and a large number of diplomatic staff.
The annual tournament was jointly organized by the UAE Embassy in Pakistan in collaboration with the Pakistan Football Federation, aiming to promote sports, cultural ties and community harmony during the holy month of Ramadan.
