CHMAN: A gas cylinder exploded at a residential house near Tor Pol in Chaman on Thursday which resulted the deaths of 7 children and injured over 6 others, including 4 women.
According to police sources, the blast caused a room in the house to collapse, trapping over 10 children under the debris.
Rescue teams extracted 7 bodies from the rubble while the injured were rushed to Chaman Civil Hospital for treatment. Police have launched an investigation into the incident, stating that the children had gathered at the house to collect lassi (a traditional yogurt drink) when the explosion occurred.
Police has launched investigation the incident and authorities are examining all possible causes of the blast.
