Emerging Pakistani actress Aina Asif has clarified her age amid ongoing social media discussions, stating that she is still underage and that her national identity card is yet to be issued, with approximately nine months remaining.
Aina made the remarks during a Ramadan transmission on a private television channel, where she appeared as a guest and responded to a question posed by host Faisal Qureshi.
She said that people often advise her to choose roles according to her age, but noted that when she previously attempted to portray age-appropriate characters, she was told she appeared older than her years.
The young actress added that her performances in challenging roles have demonstrated her ability to handle complex characters, which has helped her build a strong and loyal fan base through a series of successful dramas.
Meanwhile, discussions on social media have sparked differing opinions. Some users speculate that Aina may be 21 or 22 years old, while others have expressed concern that if she is indeed below 18, the matter could fall under child labor regulations and should be addressed accordingly.
