Priyanka Chopra has revealed after a long time the reasons behind her departure from Bollywood, saying she never intended to leave the industry but felt compelled to make the move.

According to Indian media reports, the actor disclosed in a recent interview that she did not want to quit Indian films, but circumstances and pressure led her to seek opportunities abroad.

During the conversation, she clarified that the transition from Bollywood to Hollywood and other international projects was driven by the kind of opportunities available to her at the time. She explained that she felt somewhat limited in Hindi cinema for several reasons and was looking for more interesting and challenging roles as an artist, which eventually led her to work in the United States.

After working for several years in the Indian film industry, Priyanka Chopra began pursuing projects overseas and has since appeared in multiple Hollywood productions.

At present, the 43-year-old actor is shooting for a project in India directed by S. S. Rajamouli, while also promoting her latest film The Bluff in New York.

She said she is happy to have the freedom to choose and enjoys working in both industries. She added that she would not want to have to choose between them, as she values working in both, noting that they differ in many ways, much like cultures themselves.
