Renowned Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie is reportedly preparing to leave the United States by the end of the year, according to U.S. media reports. The move comes as restrictions related to her family matters ease, allowing her to begin a new chapter outside America.
Sources close to Jolie said that in recent years, she remained in Los Angeles due to her legal battle over custody of her children following her separation from Brad Pitt. With personal circumstances stabilizing, she is now considering relocating to another country.
The reports suggest that Jolie’s decision is influenced not only by her personal life but also by her views on U.S. political and social policies. Speaking at last year’s San Sebastián Film Festival, she said, “I love my country, but I do not recognize it,” highlighting her critical stance toward certain aspects of American society.
Jolie, who often identifies as a global citizen, has previously expressed a desire to spend extended periods in Southeast Asia and has hinted at possibly living in Cambodia, where she adopted her eldest son, Maddox. She believes moving abroad would provide her children with a more peaceful upbringing, free from constant media scrutiny, while allowing them to experience different cultures and environments.
