West Indies became the first team to qualify for the Super 8 stage of the T20 World Cup 2026 after defeating Nepal by nine wickets on Sunday.
Nepal posted 133-8 in their 20 overs, but captain Shai Hope led West Indies to a comfortable chase, scoring an unbeaten 61 off 38 balls, including three sixes and five fours.
West Indies reached 134-1 in 15.2 overs at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium in the Group C match.
West Indies had already defeated England and Scotland in their first two matches, while Nepal suffered losses to Italy and England in their opening games.
