Popular Pakistani television host Nida Yasir has shared insights on how she deals with trolling and negative comments on social media.
Speaking on a YouTube show, she revealed that initially, online criticism used to bother her greatly, to the point where she preferred not to post pictures online so that her in-laws would not see negative comments. Over time, she realized that her family, especially her husband and sister-in-law, always stood by her, offering support against online negativity.
Recounting a humorous incident from seven years ago, Nida mentioned that her children once teased her, asking, “Amma, what mistake have you made?” regarding her lack of knowledge about Formula 1 on the show “Formula 1 Blender.” She said her husband supported her during the incident, which helped her handle the situation with confidence.
Nida Yasir added that while she used to respond to trolls earlier, she has now learned that replying often amplifies negativity, so she no longer reacts to critical comments online.
