Pakistan beats Nepal in Women’s Asia Cup Rising Stars opener

Pakistan made a victorious start to the Women’s Asia Cup Rising Stars by defeating Nepal in their opening match.

Nepal won the toss and invited Pakistan to bat first in the match held in Thailand’s capital, Bangkok.

Pakistan scored 137 for 6 in their allotted 20 overs, with captain Hafsa Khalid remaining unbeaten on 40 and Waheeda Akhtar contributing 23 runs.

Nepal’s Kabita Kunwar took 2 wickets, while Manisha Upadhaye, Riya Sharma, Sita Rana Magar, and Rubina Chhetri claimed one wicket each.

Chasing 138, Nepal managed 107 for 6 in 20 overs. Bandu Rawal scored 39 and Kabita Kunwar remained unbeaten on 18.

Pakistan’s Anosha Nasir took 3 wickets, Momina Riasat claimed 2, and Waheeda Akhtar took 1 wicket to secure the win.
