Wasim Akram appointed president of PSL’s Sialkot Stallions

Former Pakistan captain Wasim Akram has been appointed as the president of the newly launched PSL franchise, Sialkot Stallions, and the team’s official logo was unveiled at a ceremony organized by Alpha Ozi Sports.

The event, held at a private hotel in Lahore, saw Wasim Akram participate online, where he expressed his good wishes for the franchise’s bright future and pledged to play an active role in making Sialkot Stallions a strong and successful team in the Pakistan Super League.

During the ceremony, the franchise’s official logo was revealed for the first time. Head coach Tim Pain and co-owners Hamza Majeed and Muhammad Shahid were also present, reaffirming their commitment to introducing modern features, promoting cricket, and enhancing the quality of the game through the Sialkot Stallions.

Alpha Ozi Sports Chairperson Sabiha Sultan highlighted the organization’s future plans to support and develop women’s cricket in Pakistan, aiming to create more opportunities for female athletes.

PSL CEO Salman Naseer also attended the ceremony, calling Sialkot Stallions’ initiatives a positive and welcome development for both the league and Pakistani cricket.
