Details regarding the number of Pakistanis deported by Gulf countries over the past year were presented in the National Assembly.
The Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis submitted the data to the House, revealing that a total of 38,500 Pakistanis were deported from Gulf countries during one year.
The details show that the highest number of deportations took place from Saudi Arabia, where 27,692 Pakistanis were sent back. The United Arab Emirates deported 6,794 Pakistanis, while 2,537 were deported from Oman.
Similarly, 786 Pakistanis were deported from Bahrain, 644 from Qatar, and 163 from Kuwait.
In addition, 6,939 proclaimed offenders in various cases were deported from Gulf countries. A further 4,872 Pakistanis were deported due to illegal entry and overstaying.
Around 2,500 Pakistani prisoners lodged in jails of Gulf countries were also deported. The report states that 1,639 Pakistanis were deported after being blacklisted, 1,125 due to drug-related offences, 936 over visa violations, 190 on theft charges, and 780 for begging.
According to the report, 332 Pakistanis were deported for violating immigration laws, 15 were deported through Interpol, while more than 14,000 were deported for other unspecified reasons.
