Mohsin Naqvi holds meetings with UAE, Rwanda counterparts

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met United Arab Emirates Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan on the sidelines of the World Governments Summit, where the two leaders agreed to enhance cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

During the meeting, Mohsin Naqvi said that exchange programmes would be beneficial for gaining practical experience from the UAE’s advanced policing system. Both sides also agreed to develop a joint strategy to prevent online terrorism and curb terrorist financing.

The interior minister also held a meeting with his Rwandan counterpart, Dr. Vincent Biruta, during which bilateral relations and ways to enhance cooperation in various fields were discussed.

Both ministers agreed to promote collaboration in areas of mutual interest and decided to appoint focal persons to improve coordination between the interior ministries of Pakistan and Rwanda. The Rwandan interior minister said his country was keen to expand cooperation with Pakistan’s institutions. Meanwhile, Mohsin Naqvi also visited the headquarters of the ACC during his stay in Dubai.
