As preparations for Basant reach their peak in Lahore, Speedo and green electric buses have been decorated with cultural colors to celebrate the spring festival.
The Punjab Transport Department has announced free travel on Metro, Orange Line, Speedo, and electric buses during the three-day Basant festivities from February 6 to 8.
Authorities have also issued conditional permission to bring kite-flying materials from outside Lahore and Punjab, while enforcing a zero-tolerance policy on the use of metallic strings and prohibited chemicals.
The Meteorological Department has forecast good weather for all three days of Basant, with clouds and pleasant winds, allowing residents to enjoy the festival safely and fully.
