Ishrat Fatima praises Shehzad Roy’s World Education Day song

1 min read

Prominent Pakistani news anchor Ishrat Fatima praised singer Shehzad Roy for his new song released on the occasion of World Education Day, highlighting the challenges children face under academic pressure. Fatima shared the song’s trailer on social media platform X, describing Roy as a social activist focused on children’s education.

In her post, Fatima reflected on the pressures of early schooling, recalling how she sent her own son to school at just over two years old while still in diapers. She highlighted the demands of heavy school bags, late-night homework, and constant parental involvement, noting that children often grow up burdened with books, teachers, presentations, and projects, leaving little room for play or childhood exploration.

Fatima urged society to protect children’s right to a happy childhood and allow them to learn for understanding rather than just competing for degrees. She praised Shehzad Roy for using his music to raise awareness about these issues.
