In the clip, Khan can be seen smiling as he takes the fan’s phone, then points toward the cameraman. He later returns the phone to the fan. When another fan tries to take a selfie, Khan again takes the phone and gestures for the fan to look toward the cameraman.
The incident occurred during an awards ceremony held in Riyadh and has sparked mixed reactions online. Some social media users defended Khan, saying he was following protocol, while others criticized the act as arrogance.
