The Pakistan Super League’s most expensive franchise has announced the full name of its team.

During a press conference, Hamza Majeed, Chairman of the OZ Group, alongside co-owner Kamil Khan and other stakeholders, revealed that the team from Sialkot will be called “Sialkot Stallions.”

Hamza Majeed said that the name “Stallions” is more than just a title—it represents Sialkot’s cricketing identity and a proud history. He added that the name was chosen to honor the wishes of cricket fans and preserve the traditional legacy of the city.

The franchise, purchased for a record PKR 1.85 billion, aims to bring back excitement to the PSL. Hamza Majeed said the team will not only deliver top-quality cricket but also provide young talent with opportunities to shine on a global stage.

He also hinted that the OZ Group will soon unveil surprises regarding the team’s logo, kit, and player selections.

According to sources, five names were shortlisted for the Sialkot franchise: Sialkot Thunders, Sialkot Sixers, Sialkot Stallions, Sialkot Falcons, and Sialkot Shaheens, with “Stallions” emerging as the final choice.
