The Pakistan women’s football team has been placed in the Ivory Coast group for the upcoming FIFA Women’s Series 2026, the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) announced on Tuesday.
The FIFA Women’s Series will take place in March and April, with opening matches scheduled in Brazil, Ivory Coast, and Thailand. According to the PFF, Pakistan will face Mauritania (CAF) and the Turks and Caicos Islands in its group. The full match schedule will be released later.
The FIFA Women’s Series is designed to provide international experience to teams that do not advance to the final stages of the World Cup. Participation in the tournament is being seen as a significant step forward for women’s football in Pakistan.
PFF President Mohsin Gillani said the event marks a new chapter for the Pakistan women’s team, expressing hope that it will contribute to the growth of the sport and create more opportunities for young players.
