FIA NCB Interpol has arrested two proclaimed offenders wanted in murder cases from the United Arab Emirates and shifted them to Islamabad Airport.

The arrested suspects were identified as Saifullah and Shahid Mahmood. Both were wanted by Punjab Police in separate murder cases. Saifullah had been absconding since 2017 in a murder case registered with Sargodha police, while Shahid Mahmood was wanted by Faisalabad police in a murder case registered in 2009.

FIA NCB Interpol had issued red notices for the arrest of both suspects. After their return to Pakistan, FIA Immigration Islamabad handed them over to Punjab Police officials.

According to officials, the arrest and repatriation of the suspects were made possible through close coordination between Interpol Islamabad and Interpol Abu Dhabi, leading to the successful apprehension of the fugitives in the UAE.
