Pakistan, Canada Explore Healthcare Training Ties

High Commissioner of Pakistan to Canada, Muhammad Saleem, visited the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) in Ottawa for a meeting with Craig Ceppetelli, Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer.

The discussion focused on cooperation opportunities between Pakistan and Canada in professional training and capacity building in the healthcare sector, with particular emphasis on postgraduate medical education, accreditation, and specialist training.

Both sides explored potential linkages between the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and its counterpart institution, the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan.

The High Commissioner also briefed the RCPSC officials about the upcoming International Medical Education Conference, scheduled to be held in Karachi, Pakistan, in February 2026.
