Iran’s Ambassador to Pakistan Reza Amiri Moghadam said the security situation across the country has stabilized, with major cities remaining calm and free of significant disturbances following recent tensions, according to a statement issued on Sunday.
Providing an update on internal developments, Moghadam said that from late Saturday night through Sunday afternoon the situation remained peaceful nationwide. He added that Tehran and other major urban centers witnessed no notable incidents, signaling a return to normalcy after days of heightened concern.
Addressing reports of internet disruptions, the official said connectivity was temporarily restricted due to security considerations, citing threats posed by terrorist elements and what he described as documented external interference. The measures, he said, were taken to prevent the misuse of digital platforms during a sensitive period.
Moghadam said the Iranian public had shown restraint and awareness, distancing itself from what he termed terrorists and rioters. He added that the population remained conscious of what authorities view as efforts by hostile actors to destabilize the country.
“As in the past, the Iranian nation will overcome this challenging phase with resilience and steadfastness,” the statement said, expressing confidence that stability would be fully maintained.
The remarks come amid heightened regional scrutiny of Iran’s internal situation, with officials reiterating that public order has been restored and that security agencies remain vigilant.
