1 min read

The Supreme Court has taken disciplinary action against three of its officials over serious administrative lapses, according to an official statement issued by the court.

The statement said the officials belonged to the Supreme Court’s Karachi Registry and were found guilty of grave administrative negligence following an inquiry. After reviewing the findings, the Chief Justice imposed penalties under the Supreme Court Establishment Service Rules, 2015.

The court further stated that disciplinary action was also initiated against an official of the Lahore Registry after a complaint was received through the Anti-Corruption Hotline. The inquiry revealed elements of non-transparency, prompting the court to proceed under the relevant service rules.

According to the Supreme Court, the actions were taken to uphold institutional discipline, transparency and accountability within the judiciary’s administrative structure. Further details regarding the nature of the penalties were not disclosed in the statement.
