The Pakistan Navy conducted a major display of operational and combat readiness in the Northern Arabian Sea, successfully demonstrating its advanced maritime and aerial capabilities, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

During the exercises, the LY-80 surface-to-air missile system was test-fired and successfully intercepted an aerial target, confirming the Navy’s long-range air defense capabilities. Loitering munitions were also deployed to accurately strike surface targets, showcasing precision targeting skills.

The Navy further demonstrated unmanned surface vehicle (USV) operations in open waters without a pilot, marking a significant advancement in autonomous maritime technology.

The USV exhibited high-speed performance, mission-critical resilience, precise navigation, and operational capability in challenging weather conditions.

ISPR described the USV as a low-risk, high-impact naval platform and an effective stealth tactical interceptor, underscoring its importance in future naval warfare.

Commander Pakistan Fleet observed the exercises, focusing on the effective deployment of advanced systems. Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf praised the professionalism of officers and sailors, reaffirming the Navy’s commitment to safeguarding maritime borders and national naval interests.
