The Sindh government has approved a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) rally at Bagh-e-Jinnah, provincial minister Nasir Shah announced on Friday.
Shah said PTI leaders, including KP Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, would receive a warm welcome in Sindh and could engage in political activities, including holding public gatherings. “No party, including PTI, can be stopped from peaceful political struggle,” he said.
He added that while violations of law during political events could cause problems, there were no restrictions on holding rallies. PTI has also applied for events in Korangi and South Karachi, and these requests are being considered.
Shah emphasized that the government is in talks with PTI leadership and confirmed that the party would be allowed to hold rallies in Karachi fully in accordance with the law.
