BHC orders province-wide shift to model courts

1 min read

On the directive of the Chief Justice of the Balochistan High Court, all district judiciary courts across the province have been declared model courts to ensure speedy justice and reduce the backlog of pending cases.

Chief Justice Muhammad Kamran Khan Malakhail issued the instructions, under which all courts from judicial magistrates to district and sessions judges will function as model courts with immediate effect.

According to the directive, the decision aims to improve judicial efficiency, accelerate case disposal, and enhance public access to timely justice. The move follows deliberations held during the 56th meeting of the National Judicial Policy Making Committee (NJPMC) and subsequent judges’ meetings.

All courts have been instructed to submit monthly unit performance reports to the member inspection team to monitor progress and ensure effective implementation of the model court framework.

The order has come into force immediately and will remain effective until further instructions are issued.
