The Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Composite Circle in Gwadar has arrested 24 individuals attempting to illegally travel to Iran by sea.
The operation took place in the Gwadar area of Gwioni, where FIA officials intercepted the group before they could leave Pakistan’s coastline. Authorities said the suspects hail from various districts of Punjab: 12 from Gujranwala, 3 from Rajanpur, 2 from Muzaffargarh, and the remaining 7 from Sargodha, Kasur, Gujrat, Sialkot, Sahiwal, Multan, and Rahim Yar Khan.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the group planned to continue to other countries illegally after reaching Iran. FIA has registered cases against all 24 individuals under human smuggling and illegal migration laws, and investigations are underway.
Officials emphasized that operations against human trafficking networks will continue across the region.
