The New Zealand Cricket Board has announced a 15-member experienced squad for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
Fast bowler Jacob Duffy has been included in a senior World Cup squad for the first time. The 31-year-old is the only new player in the squad, which collectively holds experience of 1,064 T20 International matches.
Duffy is currently ranked second in the ICC T20 rankings and broke Sir Richard Hadlee’s 40-year-old record in 2025 by taking 81 wickets in 36 international matches.
The team will be led by Mitchell Santner, who will play his ninth ICC global event.
The fast-bowling department includes Lockie Ferguson, Matt Henry, and Adam Milne, while Jimmy Neesham joins as an all-rounder.
The spin department features Ish Sodhi, Michael Bracewell, Glenn Phillips, and Rachin Ravindra.
The batting lineup comprises Finn Allen, Mark Chapman, Devon Conway, Daryl Mitchell, and Tim Seifert, who will also handle wicketkeeping duties.
Several players are recovering from minor injuries, and team management expects them to be fully fit by the tournament. Fast bowler Kyle Jamieson has been named as a reserve player.
