The Australian cricket team is expected to arrive in Pakistan on January 27 ahead of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed that the two teams will play a three-match T20 series in Lahore.
According to sources, PCB has sent three possible schedules to Cricket Australia for consideration.
The series is part of preparations for the ICC World Cup. Under the proposed plans, Australia’s team will arrive on January 26 or 27 and stay in Pakistan until February 2.
Sources said one schedule suggests two consecutive matches followed by a one-day gap before the third game.
Another plan proposes one-day gaps between all three matches, while the third option has one match followed by two back-to-back games.
The official schedule will be announced after approval from Cricket Australia.
It is also expected that the Australian team will play a one-day series in Pakistan following the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season.
