Russia shoots down 129 Ukrainian drones in overnight strikes

Russian air defenses shot down 129 Ukrainian drones overnight in more than 20 regions of Russia, including two targeting the Moscow region, the defense ministry said Tuesday.

According to foreign media, drone debris fell on the railroad in the Voronezh region, disrupting rail traffic and delaying several trains, Voronezh Governor Aleksandr Gusev reported on social media. An infrastructure facility was also damaged.

The Russian defense ministry added that Russian forces neutralized Ukrainian drone control points in Donetsk, Sumy, and Zaporizhzhia regions, destroying Ukrainian personnel shelters and drone launch sites. Light multipurpose missiles were employed during the operation.

Russian forces further reported the destruction of temporary deployment sites and defensive positions of the Ukrainian armed forces in the Zaporizhzhia region.
