DG ISPR says 2,597 terrorists killed in 2025 counter-terrorism operations

Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry Director General (DG) Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Tuesday that at least 2,597 terrorists were killed in more than 75,000 counter-terrorism operations conducted across Pakistan in 2025, describing terrorism as “the greatest threat currently facing the State of Pakistan.”

Addressing a press conference, the military spokesperson disclosed that a total of 75,175 intelligence-based operations were carried out during the year by the army, police, Federal Constabulary, and intelligence agencies, averaging 206 operations per day.

He added that 27 suicide bombings occurred during the year, including two attacks carried out by female bombers.

Lieutenant General Chaudhry emphasized that Pakistan’s security forces remained vigilant and committed to neutralizing threats, reinforcing the country’s ongoing efforts to maintain law and order and safeguard citizens.
