Pakistan has welcomed the decision by Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council to hold comprehensive negotiations in Saudi Arabia, emphasizing the need for progress in a peaceful and consensus-driven environment.
In a statement issued by Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Andarabi, Pakistan urged all Yemeni parties to pursue efforts based on agreed principles and a negotiated political solution. The statement reaffirmed Pakistan’s full support for Yemen’s unity and regional security.
The Foreign Office highlighted that, guided by principles of solidarity and brotherhood, Pakistan expects regional efforts to contribute to sustainable peace and stability in Yemen.
Separately, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, while in Beijing, spoke on the phone with Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan and UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The leaders discussed the latest regional developments in detail and welcomed the diplomatic steps taken by Saudi Arabia regarding Yemen.
According to the Foreign Office, Dar appreciated efforts by all parties to resolve the situation through dialogue and diplomacy, noting that tangible and positive outcomes are emerging on the ground. Both sides expressed satisfaction over recent progress and the improving trend in the region.
