The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Lahore Zone arrested 726 suspects in 2025, including 130 wanted criminals, according to an official performance report released by the agency.
The report stated that during the year, FIA Lahore conducted 4,747 inquiries and registered 1,141 cases across various criminal offences. Out of these, 793 case challans were submitted to competent courts, resulting in convictions for 112 individuals.
The FIA also reported recoveries exceeding Rs3.779 billion last year. Special operations were launched against illegal currency exchange and hawala networks, targeting financial crimes affecting the provincial and national economy.
During 35 targeted raids against individuals involved in hawala and unauthorized currency exchange, 58 suspects were apprehended, highlighting the agency’s focus on curbing financial crimes.
A spokesperson for FIA Lahore emphasized that these measures are part of ongoing efforts to enforce the law, recover embezzled funds, and dismantle organized financial crime networks operating in the region.
