The 11th Begum Kulsum Saifullah Khan National Ranking Tennis Championships 2025 commenced today at the Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) Tennis Complex in Islamabad and will continue until January 7, 2026.
Organized annually in memory of the late Begum Kulsum Saifullah Khan, mother of Senator Salim Saifullah Khan, the tournament holds special emotional significance for the family. Senator Salim Saifullah Khan said the event revives fond memories of his late mother and extended his best wishes to all participating players. The championship is sponsored by the Saif Group of Companies, including Kulsum International Hospital, Saif Energy Limited, Transworld, and Parco.
PTF President Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi and Secretary General Col. Zia-ud-Din Tufail also extended their best wishes to the players and organizers.
Leading Pakistani players, including Muzammil Murtaza, Aqeel Khan, Muhammad Shoaib, Barkatullah, Yousaf Khalil, Ahmad Nael Qureshi, Hamza Roman, Mahin Aftab Qureshi, Meheq Khokhar, Amna Ali Qayum, Sheeza Sajid, and Soha Ali, are participating in the event.
The tournament has received over 250 entries nationwide across multiple categories, including Men’s Singles, Men’s Doubles, Ladies Singles, Boys’ 18 & Under Singles, Boys’ 14 & Under Singles, Girls’ 14 & Under Singles, and Boys’ 12 & Under Singles.
After two rounds of qualifying matches, play was delayed due to rain in Islamabad. Matches are scheduled to resume tomorrow at 9:30 AM.
