Portuguese football legend Cristiano Ronaldo has been named Middle East Best Footballer of the Year for the third consecutive year, receiving the honor at the Globe Soccer Awards ceremony held in Dubai.
Ronaldo outshone notable players including Karim Benzema, Salem Al-Dawsari, and Riyad Mahrez to claim the prestigious award. During 2025, he scored a total of 40 goals across all competitions, highlighting his remarkable form and consistent performance.
Currently representing Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr and Ronaldo’s contract will run until mid-2027. In an emotional speech while receiving the award, the 40-year-old star acknowledged the challenges of continuing at this stage of his career but expressed his enduring passion and readiness to keep playing.
