2 min read

Following the first snowfall of the winter season, tourists have started thronging the scenic hill resort of Malam Jabba in Swat to enjoy chairlift rides, snow-covered landscapes and the region’s natural beauty.

After a prolonged dry spell, snowfall in the upper districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa blanketed the mountains in a thick white layer, transforming the area into a picturesque winter destination. The season’s first snow has led to a noticeable increase in tourist activity, particularly in Malam Jabba, one of Swat’s most popular resorts.

Visitors, including families, women and children, were seen enjoying chairlift rides and spending time amid snow-laden hills and freezing weather. Tourists said the fresh snowfall had enhanced the area’s charm, offering a refreshing escape and memorable winter experience.

Many visitors described the northern areas of Pakistan as a natural gift, saying the scenic beauty and snowfall made their trip worthwhile. Local sources said the influx of tourists has also brought renewed activity to hotels, transport services and small businesses in the area.

Authorities have advised tourists to follow safety guidelines and remain cautious while travelling in snowy conditions as the winter season sets in.
