Pakistan’s mystery spinner Abrar Ahmed will not take part in the 12th edition of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), media reports said on Friday.
According to reports, Abrar was picked by Chattogram Royals during the players’ draft, but his name was included in the auction list without his prior consent. When the franchise contacted him, Abrar made it clear that he had not given permission to participate in the league.
Following this, Chattogram Royals replaced Abrar with another player and formally informed the Bangladesh Cricket Board about the situation.
Sources said the matter was resolved after the clarification, and Abrar will not be featuring in the upcoming BPL season.
