Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that the Pakistan Armed Forces delivered a lesson to India that it will remember for a lifetime.
Addressing a ceremony where laptops were distributed among students in Azad Kashmir, the Prime Minister said that during the war with India, Pakistan, including the people of Kashmir, prayed for the armed forces, which enabled the military to respond effectively and teach the enemy a lesson.
He added that the people of this region of Azad Kashmir have made great sacrifices for Pakistan’s development and prosperity. The people of Kashmir have always raised the slogan, “Kashmir will become Pakistan,” and he expressed confidence that occupied Kashmir will eventually be free and join Pakistan.
Shahbaz Sharif emphasized that equipping youth with modern education and technology is a top priority. He praised the efforts and success of special child Afshin Zahid, saying that talent and hard work are not limited by physical challenges. Hard work gives every individual the opportunity to establish their place in society.
He also addressed past criticism of the laptop distribution scheme, stating that if it were merely a source of corruption, thousands of young people would not have become doctors, engineers, teachers, and scientists through such programs.
The Prime Minister added that during the COVID-19 pandemic, laptops allowed students to continue their education and maintain employment opportunities. He encouraged students to work diligently, saying that through hard work, Pakistan can be transformed into a great nation. “You are shining stars for yourselves, your teachers, your parents, and the entire nation,” he concluded.
