The notification for the successful candidates of the Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) elections 2025 has been officially issued. Attorney General of Pakistan Mansoor Usman Awan, acting as the returning officer, announced the results.
From Balochistan, Munir Ahmed Khan Kakar was elected from Quetta. Islamabad elected Raja Rizwan Abbasi, while Khyber Pakhtunkhwa constituencies Peshawar and Abbottabad returned Naveed Akhtar, Rehman Ullah, and Qazi Muhammad Arshad as PBC members.
Punjab saw multiple members elected from Lahore, including Azam Nazir Tarar, Muhammad Ahsan Bhon, Hafeez-ur-Rehman Chaudhry, Salman Akram Raja, Shafqat Mehmood Chauhan, Muhammad Maqsood, and Amir Saeed Raan. Other members from Lahore included Choudhry Tahir Nasrullah Warraich, Pir Muhammad Masood Chishti, and Saqib Akram Gondal, while Syed Qalb-e-Hassan was elected from Rawalpindi.
From Sindh, Karachi elected Munir Ahmed Malik, Farooq Hameed Naik, Salahuddin Ahmed, and Muhammad Saleem Mangrio. Sukkur elected Ubaidullah, and Karachi also returned Abid Shahid Zuberi to the council.
Officials said the newly elected council members will serve a key role in representing lawyers across the country and shaping policies of the Pakistan Bar Council.
