New Zealand openers Tom Latham and Devon Conway created history in Test cricket by becoming the first pair to score centuries in both innings of the same match, officials and cricket sources said.

The record-breaking performance occurred during the third Test against the West Indies. In New Zealand’s second innings, Latham scored 101 runs while Conway contributed exactly 100. In the first innings, Latham had made 137, and Conway played a remarkable innings of 227 runs.

With this feat, Devon Conway also became the first New Zealand batter to score a double century and a century in the same Test match.

Cricket analysts hailed the achievement as a historic milestone for New Zealand cricket, highlighting the openers’ consistency and dominance throughout the match. The match was played at Mount Maunganui, where New Zealand showcased strong batting resilience against the West Indies.
