Suryakumar Yadav to lead India in T20 World Cup 2026

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced India’s squad for the T20 World Cup 2026, scheduled to be held from February 7 in India and Sri Lanka.

Suryakumar Yadav will captain the team, with Akash Patel appointed as the new vice-captain after Shubman Gill missed out on the squad.

Key players selected include Abhishek Sharma, Sanju Samson, Tilak Varma, Hardik Pandya, Shubham Dubey, Jasprit Bumrah, Ranju Singh, Harshit Rana, Arshdeep Singh, Kuldeep Yadav, Varun Chakravarthy, Washington Sundar, and Ishan Kishan.

The BCCI emphasized that the squad combines experience and young talent to compete at the highest level in the global T20 tournament.
