Massive forest fires erupt across Hazara Division

2 min read

A massive forest fire has broken out at multiple locations across the Hazara Division, engulfing large stretches of dense woodland and nearby areas, prompting an emergency response from rescue authorities.

According to officials, intense fires erupted in the forests of Galiyat, Ayubia, Pipeline and Tauheed Abad. In a separate incident, areas near Chichian Interchange and the Havelian Bypass also came under severe fire. Rescue 1122 fire vehicles and ambulances were dispatched immediately to the affected sites.

The fire spread rapidly, covering a vast forested area. Rescue 1122 teams from Nathiagali and Ayubia launched firefighting operations but faced serious challenges due to difficult terrain and poor visibility caused by darkness.

Given the intensity of the blaze, District Emergency Officer Hafeez Rehman and Emergency Officer Fahad Ali Masood reached the site along with 30 personnel to supervise the operation. Additional Rescue 1122 teams were called in from Mansehra and Haripur to help control the situation.

Authorities said efforts to contain the fire were ongoing, while an assessment of losses was yet to be completed.
