Kohistan scam suspect Qaiser Iqbal seeks Rs14 billion plea bargain

1 min read

Qaiser Iqbal, the central accused in the Kohistan financial scandal, has submitted a plea bargain request to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) for Rs14 billion, officials confirmed.

NAB sources said Qaiser Iqbal, a former head clerk in the Communication and Works Department, and his wife reportedly hold assets worth approximately Rs10 billion, including vehicles, houses, plazas, gold, and other properties. Additional assets worth Rs4 billion were allegedly purchased in the name of an untraceable dumper driver.

The plea bargain request comes as part of ongoing investigations into one of Pakistan’s largest corruption cases. Earlier, NAB had arrested eight key suspects in the Rs40 billion Kohistan mega-corruption scandal, including two government officials, two bankers, and four contractors.
