Several cities across Punjab remain under the grip of dense fog, severely reducing visibility and forcing the closure of key motorways at multiple points.
According to officials, the M-2 motorway has been closed from Thokar Niaz Baig to Lillah Interchange, while the M-3 is shut from Faizpur to Samundri due to hazardous driving conditions. Sections of the M-4 from Shershah to Pindi Bhattian and the M-5 from Shershah to Zahir Pir have also been closed. The M-11 motorway connecting Lahore to Sialkot remains closed from Lahore to Sambrial until further notice.
Authorities said the M-5 from Zahir Pir to Rohri has been closed for heavy traffic, while traffic flow on national highways has also been disrupted because of thick fog.
The Motorway Police have urged citizens to avoid unnecessary travel during foggy conditions and advised drivers to follow safety guidelines to prevent accidents.
