Sindh Police have introduced an online registration application for recording tenant information across the province as part of ongoing efforts to digitise policing and improve urban security.
According to a police spokesperson, the initiative is part of a broader digitalisation drive within various departments of Sindh Police. The new facility allows landlords to register tenant details online without visiting police stations.
The service, titled “Tenant Registration for Urban Security and Tracking,” is available on the official Sindh Police website. Through the portal, property owners can easily submit information related to their tenants from their homes.
Under the tenancy laws, landlords are legally required to provide tenant information to the concerned police station. Previously, both landlords and tenants had to appear in person at police stations to complete the registration process. With the launch of the online system, the entire process can now be completed digitally.
The spokesperson said the Trust initiative under the Residential Act ensures secure and verified registration of tenants. The system is designed to improve identification and tracking of tenants, contributing to enhanced public safety and urban security.
Officials said the online registration platform would save time for citizens and reduce unnecessary visits to police stations, while also supporting law enforcement in maintaining accurate and reliable records.
Sindh Police described the initiative as a step towards “verified tenants, safer neighbourhoods,” calling it a modern and transparent approach to tenant registration. Citizens were urged to make use of the system and cooperate with police in building a safer and more peaceful society.
