The recently released Bollywood film ‘Dhriinder,’ criticized for its anti-Pakistan narrative, has grossed over Rs 350 crore at the Indian box office within just 10 days. Globally, the film’s total earnings have surpassed Rs 500 crore.
The star cast, particularly the pairing of Ranveer Singh and 20-year-old Sara Arjun, has drawn significant attention.
Audiences on social media have praised their on-screen chemistry. Regarding the age difference between the characters, casting director Mukesh Chhabra explained that the plot required Ranveer Singh’s character to interact with a younger female character, making it necessary to cast an actress aged 20–21. Chhabra added that further clarification will come in ‘Dhriinder Part 2.’
About 1,300 actresses auditioned for the role, but Sara Arjun stood out from the beginning. Director Aditya Dhar favored giving a fresh face a chance, which led to her selection. Chhabra praised Sara’s dedication and said her true acting talent will be showcased in the sequel, where she will play a stronger role. ‘Dhriinder Part 2’ is scheduled for release on March 19, 2026.
