Shoaib Akhtar joins Bangladesh Premier League as Dhaka capitals mentor

Former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar has joined the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) as a mentor for the Dhaka Capitals, officials confirmed on Friday.

Akhtar will guide the team in his role as mentor, providing expertise and support to players during the tournament.

The 2025 edition of the BPL is set to begin on Friday, December 26. A number of Pakistani players have also been issued No Objection Certificates (NOCs) to participate in the league.

Shoaib Akhtar, known for his pace and experience on the international stage, is expected to play a key role in shaping team strategy and mentoring emerging talent for Dhaka Capitals.
