Dr Sohail Saleem, former head of the PCB Medical Panel, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Pakistan Anti-Doping Board (PADB), a move aimed at strengthening the country’s anti-doping system.

According to the official appointment notification, Dr Saleem will lead the national body responsible for ensuring clean and transparent sports. He said the government had entrusted him with an important responsibility and vowed to use his experience to help build a dope-free sporting environment in Pakistan.

Dr Saleem said that with the Anti-Doping Board now fully functional, all athletes will be required to undergo testing under established rules. Doping tests will be conducted at every major sporting event in the country, with a strict zero-tolerance policy in place.

He added that the board will work closely with the Pakistan Olympic Association and other sports organisations to ensure full compliance with anti-doping regulations.
