An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Rawalpindi has ordered the seizure of bail bonds for political activist Alima Khan after she failed to appear in court during the hearing of a case related to the November 26 protest.
The court session covered Alima Khan and 11 other accused, but neither she nor her lawyers attended. Prosecutors requested the court to confiscate her bail bonds, noting that she had previously assured the court she would appear at every hearing.
The court approved the request and ordered the seizure of two bail bonds of 10 lakh rupees each. Notices were also issued regarding her bailable warrants and the potential cancellation of her bail.
The hearing was adjourned to December 15, and after the proceedings, Alima Khan appeared in court with her lawyer.
